TrueCrypt and the last version of VeraCrypt used to mount multiple favorites all at once (only using the password once for those favorites). No mini dumps are written to the disk as the disk appears not writable once the VCrypt.sys driver has crashed. In both cases the BSOD shows the VCcrypt.sys (or something very similar). I can either wait a few minutes for RST to be fully loaded (the ICON shows check mark) or boot with VC drive already in dock Hot plug a VC encrypted drive before Intel Rapid Storage utility has completed loading. These can only be used if they are plugged in before I boot the computer and then I can interact with them ![]() Hot plug a drive encrypted with LUKS or DiskCryptor and VC blue screens. Machine is up and running on a Veracrypt Fully encrypted system drive. My PC has drive dock connected via SATA II interface I have found that VC will cause a BSOD under the following conditions using the December version and the latest version. ![]() Of course, if you find any specific technical issue that is caused by VeraCrypt, please feel free to re-open this ticket or open a new one. ![]() You probably did this in the past for TrueCrypt and you forgot to do the same for VeraCrypt.Īnyway, I'll will close this ticket since it doesn't apply to VeraCrypt but to the other software you are using. Thus, if you use the same configuration as with TrueCrypt, VeraCrypt volumes should behave the same.Īs for any other search software (like the one you are citing), I don't know their specifics but if they have the same constraint as the Windows indexing service, then the TrueCrypt/VeraCrypt volume must be visible when its service starts. ![]() Here is an article that talks about this with regards to TrueCrypt and which applies also to VeraCrypt: Any idea of how to achieve that? Windows indexing search doesn't work either since it also doesn't "see" the volume.Ĭomments: VeraCrypt behaves similarly to TrueCrypt with regards to Windows indexing search that is the volume must be mounted before this service is started otherwise you have to restart it once you mount the volume. Since I keep all my documents (About 60GB worth and more than 3,000 files.) in that VeraCrypt volume, it is imperative to me to be able to search the volume. However since I started using Veracrypt, I noticed that UltraSearch doesn't recognize the volume. I use UltraSearch to search for files on my computer, When I used Truecrypt, the volume it created was easily recognized by UltraSearch.
